This sticker is designed as a funny imitation of the official international country code plates that are common throughout Europe. Recently, country code plates are losing significance because new European Union’s licence plates already include the country code, and if you have such one, you do not need a separate country code plate on your car, as long as you stay within the EU.
Tourists may take this sticker as a souvenir to show folks where they have been. For local people, it expresses the vision that we gradually develop a common euroregional identity, overcoming language barriers and the quarrels of the past.
You can purchase this sticker here for 1 € per piece plus mailing expenses. Just send an e-mail, telling your postal address, and how many pieces you wish to buy, and we will come to an agreement about the conditions.
Some people wondered if it was legal to have a tripoint sticker on the car. But there is no reason to worry because it is common practice of tourists even to paste up their caravans with official country code plates to show folks where they have been, and this is actually illegal, but tolerated. Our tripoint sticker however has no official significance. From a legal viewpoint, it is just an insignificant sticker, and obviously it is legal to have such thing. Any policeman or customs official will probably understand that.
